Composition:
Each 10 g syringe contains:
Kanamycin sulphate…………………………….. 50 mg
Procaine benzyl penicillin………………..100,000 IU
Prednisolone acetate …………………………… 40 mg
Description:
Formulated to treat the toughest forms of mastitis due to the synergistic and bactericidal action of
kanamycin and penicillin, combined with the anti-phlogistic and anti-oedematous properties of
prednisolone.
Indications:
Mastitis in lactating cattle caused by microorganisms susceptible to kanamycin and penicillin,
including penicillinase-producing Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
Dosage and administration:
For single intramammary administration.
Clean and disinfect the teat and administer content of one injector per quarter.
If required, repeat after 24 hours.
Precautions and warnings:
Do not handle the product if you are known to be hypersensitive to penicillins.
Avoid skin contact, wear gloves and wash hands after use. Rinse skin with water and soap in case
of direct contact with product. If hypersensitivity reactions occur after use of this product, seek
medical advice. Swelling of the face, lips or eyes or difficulty with breathing are serious symptoms
and require urgent medical attention.
Withdrawal times:
Meat: 6 days
Milk: 4 days.
Storage conditions:
Store dark, dry and below 25°C. Do not freeze.
Packing:
10 g syringes, 24 syringes per carton.
